MecWash Systems Ltd of Tewkesbury, the leading UK manufacturer of precision aqueous parts cleaning and degreasing systems, has confirmed it will be returning to Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Show (SMES) in 2019.

MecWash will be exhibiting its Duo system, which is part of the company’s wide range of aqueous component cleaning machines. The MecWash range are used for cleaning metal and plastic engineering components in a wide range of manufacturing sectors including aerospace, automotive and fluid power.

SMES takes place between 5-7 February 2019 at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre. It is one of the most comprehensive regional industrial exhibitions in the UK, attracting hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of delegates.

MecWash managing director, John Pattison, says that  SMES was an important exhibition for the company: “In addition to demonstrating our Duo component cleaning system we’ll also be highlighting our cleaning expertise and capability for undertaking laboratory analysis of component cleaning issues as well as our ability to develop specialist detergents for our customers.

“The development of such detergents is an important part of the cleaning and degreasing process, and we are one of the only aqueous parts cleaning and degreasing systems manufacturers to offer such a dedicated in-house service and solution.”

“SMES is a major platform for us. In addition to meeting the wide range of existing customers who also attend, we are able to demonstrate our expertise to potential customers.

“A good example is JK Engineering of Watford, a specialist in precision component engineering manufacturer working with clients in the aerospace, motorsport and medical components sectors.

“They visited our stand at a previous show and were impressed with the Duo. We met up with them soon after and began a series of wash trials based on their engineering processes and requirements. We used the Midi system as we felt it was more appropriate for their needs and following the successful trials, they decided to go with it. It’s now ensuring they are able to meet the best possible standards for their own customers.”

Established in 1993, MecWash Systems Ltd specialises in the design and manufacture of a complete range of aqueous parts cleaning and degreasing systems for metal and plastic engineering components.

Its capabilities include laboratory analysis of complex component cleaning issues and specifying or developing specialist detergents, plus the ability to design special processes and parts washers for particularly difficult cleaning challenges.

MecWash parts washers are used in the aerospace, automotive, defence, general engineering and medical industries.
