Continental Diamond Tool acquires Consort Precision Diamond
Continental Diamond Tool Corporation (CDT), an industry leader in the design, manufacture, and application of diamond & CBN grinding wheels and tools, has announced the execution of a acquisition of Consort Precision Diamond Company Ltd, a leading UK manufacturer of sintered and reverse plated rotary diamond dressers. Operations will continue uninterrupted in the existing facilities and with retention of key management personnel.
CDT President and CEO Nick Viggiano says: “This is a very exciting time for both CDT and Consort. This acquisition strengthens both companies in both the US & European markets.
“Continental Diamond Tool has seen a strong growth pattern over the past five years for its superabrasives products. CDT has offered electroplated, resin bond, vitrified, and metal bond for over 45 years and, when the opportunity presented itself, we felt that diamond rotary dressers fit our portfolio and gave us the product suite we have been looking for to better service our customers.”
